The limitation of financial source in Water & Wastewater sector & the unsatisfied situation for allocation are caused a project to implement for a long time & also it’s the main problem of Urban & Rural Water & Wastewater companies.
In this regard, NWWEC is followed up the activities for securing Financial Sources in some projects of Water & Wastewater by World Bank in 2000. After expanding the cooperation of NWWEC with WB & in order to accelerate & draw up the necessity strategy & also need following them constantly, the Bureau was prepared in the Organization Chart of Water & Wastewater Companies as the title of “Bureau for Procurement of Funds & Development of Non- Governmental Participation” & also was established the technical support unit (TSU) for the projects which are financed by Foreign Loan. Now, Mr. Hamid Reza Kashfi is the Manager of this Bureau.
The necessity of establishing this bureau as follows:
In regard to Accelerate & draw up the necessity strategy for procurement of the funds in Urban & Rural Water & Wastewater companies by WB, IDB & other Non-Governmental.
The necessity of doing executive operations for the projects are financed based on approved schedule plan.
Present the report of Physical & Financial Progress in the above mentioned projects constantly.
